About 15 post office boxes in the downtown branch were pried open or attempted to be pried open sometime during the past weekend, Sgt. Louise Callus said.

Possible losses are unclear as “there is no way to know what may have been in the boxes,” she said

A tractor-trailer rig collided and plowed a parked pickup 50 feet along Coast Highway into a utility pole on Saturday, Feb. 1, crushing the truck and damaging the pole.

No one was injured in the 3:31 a.m. wreck near Moss Point, Sgt. Louise Callus said.
