A real estate agent’s signs in four different locations were vandalized with the numbers “666” spray painted in silver on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The reporting party told police he suspects a brother, according to the public log.
Properties on Starlit, St. Ann’s, Glenneyre and Noria streets were hit, said Sgt. Louise Callus.
Monday, Nov. 18
Vandalism. 100 block of San Tropez Ct. 8:47 a.m. A 2012 Prius was keyed all over, an estimated loss of $2,000.
Fraud. 1200 block of S. Coast Hwy. 11:14 a.m. A waitress was fired and her case referred for prosecution after she allegedly tweaked tips on credit card transactions.
Brandishing weapon. 1400 block of N. Coast Hwy. 3:16 p.m. Police removed and arrested Todd Robert Whited, 37, of Stoystown, Pa., from among a bus load of passengers for allegedly brandishing a knife.
Fraud. 1100 block of Miramar St. 4:45 p.m. A resident’s credit card was used three times in a Texas Walmart.
Tuesday, Nov. 19
Fraud. 400 block of Graceland Dr. 2:47 p.m. A resident learned someone used her information to set up a phony account and make an $866 charge at a Walmart.
Wednesday, Nov. 20
Vandalism. 2000 block of S. Coast Hwy. 7:17 a.m. Someone threw eggs at a resident’s door and scratched it.
Traffic collision. 2600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 9:17 a.m. A single vehicle collided with a pole. The driver escaped injury.
Keep the peace. 1000 block of Dyer Pl. 10:25 a.m. A 34-year-old house guest from San Diego who refused to leave was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Stolen vehicle. 200 block of Lower cliff Dr. 12:30 p.m. A ’93 Honda was recovered two days later by CHP.
Petty theft. 300 block of Forest Ave. 1 p.m. Julie Ann Lane, 23, who is homeless, was arrested for suspicion of possessing stolen property as she was found wearing bracelets valued at $648 with the store sticker still on them.
Grand theft. 400 block of Anita St. 9 p.m. A 17-year-old boy reported missing was arrested for suspicion of theft and heroin possession after returning home following a week’s absence. He allegedly possessed a knife with heroin residue and admitted to stealing and selling a $500 necklace belonging to his mother.
Vandalism. 100 block of N. Coast Hwy. 10:28 p.m. A man threw a brick at his boss’s car.
Thursday, Nov. 21
Traffic collision. 2400 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 5 a.m. A newspaper delivery driver who swerved to avoid a coyote lost control of the vehicle, which collided with a planter and rolled over. She complained of dizziness and was transported for treatment.
Welfare check. 1300 block of N. Coast Hwy. 5:51 a.m. A 23-year-old homeless woman who appeared to be suffering from hallucinations was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $2,500.
Grand theft. 1200 block of Victory Walk. 11 a.m. A property owner reported the theft of $1,500 in patio furniture from a vacant home.
Traffic collision. Cliff Dr. 2:20 p.m. A vehicle and bicyclist collided; the rider declined medical aid.
Fraud. 200 block of Dolphin Way, St. 5:14 p.m. Someone wrote a phony check for $2,386.
Missing persons. Police received three separate reports of girls, ages 16 and 17, who did not return home as expected. The following afternoon the teens were detained in Dana Point by sheriff’s deputies and later picked up by their guardians.
Traffic collision. 32100 block of Coast hwy. 11:35 p.m. A 60-year-old Laguna Niguel man escaped injury but was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car flipped over into oncoming traffic. Bail was set at $2,500.
Friday, Nov. 22
Traffic stop. 1400 block of N. Coast Hwy. 1:50 a.m. A 23-year-old Irvine man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Sexual battery. 300 block of Broadway St. 4:49 p.m. Eric Downey, 26, who is homeless, was cited for sexual battery and released after he allegedly grabbed a woman.
Saturday, Nov. 23
Traffic stop. Cliff Dr. 1:35 a.m. A 35-year-old San Diego man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Traffic collision. 3000 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. A 36-year-old Costa Mesa woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 bail after her vehicle spun out.
Emergency. 600 block of Griffith Way. 5:21 p.m. A 31-year-old Laguna Beach woman was held for suspicion of possessing cannabis and a warrant violation after being spotted trying car doors.
Grand theft. 200 block of N. Coast Hwy. 11:39 p.m. A $10,000 carbon fiber Scott mountain bike was taken from the open bed of a pick up.
Sunday, Nov. 24
Traffic stop. 1300 block of N. Coast Hwy. 2:31 a.m. A 27-year-old Temecula man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Suspicion person. West St. Noon. A man wearing a ski mask and pointing his hand like a gun jumped in front of several cars and was detained by police. He was held at Mission Hospital.
Traffic stop. Diamond St. 10:43 p.m. A 25-year-old Dana Point man was cited for an outstanding reckless boating warrant and held for $75,000 bail.
