Saturday, Dec. 23

Unknown trouble. 2700 block of Solana Way. 1:48 a.m. In response to a report by a house sitter of a neighbor screaming for help, police discovered an inebriated resident singing to music.

Traffic stop. Aster Street. 2:26 a.m. A 27-year-old Costa Mesa woman was cited for DUI.

Traffic hazard. 2700 block of S. Coast Hwy. 4:11 a.m. A vehicle stopped in southbound traffic lanes led to the arrest of a Rancho Cucamonga man, 21, for DUI.

Traffic collision. Callecita. 1 p.m. A woman lost consciousness as a result of a collision.

Drunk driving. N. Coast Highway. 9:12 p.m. A report about a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road led to the arrest of a 23-year-old Capistrano Beach man for DUI.

Public contact. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 10:23 p.m. Rena Anessa Contreras, 26, was cited for allegedly possessing a controlled substance and paraphernalia following a report about a woman with two syringes of heroin.

Friday, Dec. 22

Medical. 12:56 p.m. A mountain biker injured after a fall from a trail near Canyon Acres Road was extracted by an Orange County Fire Authority helicopter. But two sheriff’s department helicopters also arrived at the scene, the police call log notes.

Fraud. 21700 Ocean Vista Dr. 2:50 p.m. A fraud investigation is underway over the loss of $2,560 by a resident responding to a Craigslist rental ad.

Traffic stop. Beach St. 11:41 p.m. A 35-year-old Mission Viejo woman was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.

Thursday, Dec. 21

Grand theft. 31800 block of Circle Dr. 9:08 a.m. A red battery-boost bike valued at $2,500 was stolen from the driveway overnight.

Property. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 11:14 a.m. Kameran Cherrier, 30, a transient unluckily spotted with a red bike, was questioned and arrested for two outstanding warrants on multiple charges. The bike was unrelated to the theft reported earlier.

Fraud. 1400 block of Terrace Way. 1:35 p.m. A bank agreed to refund $2,000 for an uncashed check left in a vehicle that was stolen.

Traffic stop. 1900 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 10 p.m. Anesha Rose Emond, 42, of Aliso Viejo, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and held for $15,000 bail due to two prior offenses.

Wednesday, Dec. 20

Suspicious vehicle. 32000 block of Virginia Way. 7:17 a.m. Shannon Leeandra Armond, 46, of Sunset Beach, was arrested for a warrant.

Fraud report. 500 block of Bluebird Canyon Dr. 8:24 a.m. An unknown person fraudulently deposited a check and then withdrew a cashier’s check of $7 in the account holder’s name.

Vehicle burglary. 1100 block of N. Coast Hwy. 10:17 a.m. The owner of a vehicle had yet to compile a list of missing items taken after thieves broke a window to enter a locked vehicle.

Drunk driving. 2200 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. A 27-year-old Hacienda Heights resident was arrested for DUI after a vehicle collided with a tree.

Grand theft. 300 block of Forest Ave. 5:41 p.m. Police are awaiting video surveillance footage to assist with the investigation of a man under 30 who purchased $2,586 worth of gold jewelry on a credit card suspected of being fraudulent.

Vehicle burglary. PD. 5:51 p.m. A car owner reported $1,000 in cash missing from a vehicle though the owner doesn’t know when or where the theft occurred.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

Pedestrian stop. 300 block of Third Street. Midnight. Police arrested two transients for a warrant and parole violation, respectively, and a third for trespassing.

Fraud report. PD. 10:39 a.m. A $500 Walmart gift card was hacked in several cities.

Fraud. PD. 10:46 a.m. Someone made out a fraudulent check in the resident’s name on Dec. 12.

Petty theft. 1800 block of S. Coast Hwy. 5 p.m. Police arrested Nicole Marie Harvey, 51, of Laguna Beach, for suspicion of possessing meth and a pipe, stashed in her bra and underwear. Store lingerie was also found in her purse. Since she didn’t leave the store, she was not charged with burglary, Sgt. Jim Cota said.

Vehicle burglary. PD. 5:28 p.m. Luggage, watches, laptops and passports of undetermined value are missing from a car broken into about 4 p.m. in a parking garage.

Monday, Dec. 18

Drunk driving. 600 block of S. Coast Hwy. 7:44 a.m. A driver passed out behind the wheel of an idling vehicle led to the arrest of Tivon Patrick Tobar, 25, of Laguna Beach, for suspicion of DUI as well as alleged possession of prescription pills and syringes used for injecting heroin.

Fraud. PD. 4:44 p.m. Credit cards were opened under a business name in the amount of $19,588.
