Stolen vehicle. Laguna Canyon Rd. 10 p.m. Joshua Michael Peters, 34, of Ladera Ranch, was arrested for suspicion of car theft and possessing a meth pipe. Bail was set at $20,000.
Tuesday, Jan. 19
Assault. 2300 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 5:18 p.m. A 15-year-old girl was arrested for felony assault and resisting arrest after she allegedly stabbed her mother with a dive knife following an argument about an item being broken. A witness had disarmed the youth, who struggled with police when detained. The girl was taken to a juvenile facility.
Vandalism. 300 block of Broadway St. 8:18 a.m. A 43-year-old Texas man was cited for vandalism after smashing a window in a vehicle.
Wednesday, Jan. 20
Disturbance. 600 block of S. Coast Hwy. 5:48 p.m. Gregory Davalle, 53, of Fullerton, was held for $7,500 bail on three warrants.
Stolen vehicle. 200 block of Cliff Dr. 6:31 p.m. A roommate took a vehicle without permission.
Thursday, Jan. 21
Traffic stop. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Dr. 2:51 a.m. A 21-year-old San Clemente woman was cited for DUI.
Fraud report. 400 block of Third St. 10:37 a.m. A suspect used a resident’s social security number to open a Verizon acct.
Petty theft. 30800 block of Coast Hwy. 10:56 a.m. A phone was taken from a backpack left on the beach.
Petty theft. 300 block of Cliff Dr. 12:52 p.m. Someone purchased gift cards and olive oil with a fraudulent credit card.
Burglary. 500 block of S. Coast Hwy. 3:20 p.m. Thieves smashed a window and stole jewelry and paintings, whose value had yet to be reported.
Friday, Jan. 22
Reckless driving. El Toro rd. 1:39 a.m. A 29-year-old Las Vegas man was cited for DUI.
H&S activity. Loma Terrace. 3 p.m. Two juveniles were detained and one was arrested for suspicion of marijuana sales and later released to his parents. Police seized 27 grams of pot.
Traffic stop. Jasmine St. 11:24 p.m. A 20-year-old Huntington Beach woman was cited for DUI.
Traffic stop. Cliff Dr. 11:29 p.m. A 35-year-old Washington man was cited for DUI.
Saturday, Jan. 23
DUI. Glenneyre St. 12:17 a.m. A 55-year-old Coto de Caza man was cited for DUI.
Drunk driving. 31100 block of Coast hwy. 11:53 a.m. The driver was cited for possessing 2.68 grams of marijuana.
Fraud. 1000 block of Skyline Dr. 12:31 p.m. A resident discovered three separate fraudulent online transactions made using the victim’s credit card totaling $1,092.
Pedestrian stop. 200 block of Ocean Ave. 9:58 p.m. Ben Percival, 29, of Huntington Beach, was arrested for felony battery and other charges after he allegedly slugged a police officer. The officer and a security guard detained Percival, who police say became combative after the officer twice advised him and a companion to take Uber home due to their inebriation. The officer sustained a cut that required stitches to his chin.
Sunday, Jan. 24
Traffic stop. Legion St. 12:47 a.m. A 46-year-old San Clemente woman was popped for DUI.
Traffic stop. 300 block of Ocean Ave. 1:37 a.m. A 24-year-old San Diego man was arrested for DUI.
Traffic stop. Thalia St. 2:56 a.m. A 25-year-old Loma Linda resident was cited for DUI.
Grand theft. 31400 block of Coast hwy. 5 p.m. The victim suspect’s a handyman stole $15,000 worth of furniture instead of moving the items to storage.
Traffic collision. Broadway Place. 11:15 p.m. A 25-year-old Pico Rivera woman was cited for DUI.
Prowler. 2600 block of Victoria Dr. 2:58 a.m. A 24-year-old Laguna Beach man was arrested for trespassing and loitering after residents reported a possible prowler.
